9-1-1, What’s Your Emergency?

You may be surprised to learn that photographers actually get emergency calls.

And when I hear the panic and/or excitement in a parent’s voice, it doesn’t matter how far out I’m booked, I drop everything to figure out how to squeeze in another shoot.

It might be that a third child has been born with red hair and if history repeats itself, it  could fall out any minute and replaced by blond.

Or, it might be a family is getting a new puppy and the parents want the stunned and delighted expressions of the kids captured, as they realize the puppy is theirs to keep. And of course, they want the puppy to have her first official pictures.

Or it could be a last minute acting audition/competition where professional pictures will help boost the young actor’s self confidence and might help the judges as they make difficult decisions.  By the way, Josie made the first cut —  From 800 to 100 kids at her very first audition!

Life and death. No. Critical? Absolutely.

I wish you lived closer. I would hire you to do some profile pics for me when I have music and theatre gigs. Your photos are terrific!

  2. Thanks Tamara. We hope to be traveling in your direction this summer. It would be great if we could at least meet in person after all these years!
